The analysis is done through testing the body’s autonomic nervous system (ANS). Nutrition Response Testing analyzes different areas on the surface of the body that relate to the state of health and to the flow of energy in each and every organ and function of the body. This information is derived from the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which regulates the functions of every organ and controls involuntary bodily functions such as heart rate, digestion, and immune response Each area that gives a response represents a specific organ, tissue, or function, and indicates the effect that energy, or the lack of energy, is having on the body. By testing these organs /areas, we have a system of monitoring your body at each visit that has proven to be extremely accurate clinically, and that helps us identify exactly what the body needs, at what priority, and how well we are meeting that need.

The practitioner applies light pressure to the muscle of your extended arm. If the organ/area being contacted is “active” the nervous system will respond by reducing energy to the extended arm, and the arm will weaken and drop. This drop signifies underlying stress or dysfunction, which can be affecting your health.

Let’s say the liver or thyroid reflexes are active. Then what? Our next step is to test specific, time-tested and proven, highest-possible quality nutritional formulas (Designed Clinical Nutrition) against those weak areas, to find which ones bring the organs/areas back to strength. A complete analysis can be done on each subsequent visit, including testing for stressors. Often these reveal additional layers of dysfunction. We encourage clients to bring in their current supplements for testing to determine if they are beneficial or counterproductive. If they prove to be helpful, clients can continue using them.

During this period, we are working with the client to remove any foods that may be causing inflammation while adding foods that supports the body in its healing. We are also getting digestion in place so the body is able to utilize the nutrients of the foods being consumed. You are only on the supplements recommended for the particular organ or stressor until such time it is operating optimally – you will then maintain its health through your eating.

While most insurance plans do not cover our services, we’re committed to making natural health care accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer flexible payment options, including credit cards, checks, HSAs, and FSAs. Many of our clients find our programs to be more affordable than paying high insurance deductibles. We’re also happy to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement—some clients have successfully received reimbursement through their health share plans, so it’s always worth checking with your provider.

We do not prescribe pharmaceuticals. We believe in using only holistic care methods and natural supplements. The nutritional supplements that we carry are made from whole food and are created by reputable companies with the highest quality and ethical standards. We also practice what we teach in our own personal lives – we use these methods for our own health.

A Doctor of Naturopathy is licensed by the State of CA to diagnose and provide licensed healing arts.  A Naturopath does not need a license in CA to practice naturopathy but cannot diagnose nor provide what would be considered licensed healing arts.

Our Practitioners are certified in the services they provide.  They are not licensed physicians and do not diagnose.  Having graduated from the  Southern College of Naturopathy, Shannon Eggleston holds a degree as a Naturopath vs. a Doctor of Naturopathy license from the State of California.   The services provided are considered unlicensed healing arts per the State of California.

In such cases, we would thoroughly evaluate the situation and, if necessary, refer you to a specialist or alternative treatment to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.

Natural healing focuses on addressing the root cause of symptoms, which are signals that something in the body isn’t functioning properly. Pharmaceuticals often mask these symptoms rather than resolving the underlying issue. Despite the vast array of heart and diabetes medications available, the prevalence of these conditions—and many others, including autoimmune diseases—continues to rise. This suggests that true healing goes beyond symptom management.

Nutrition Response Testing enables the practitioner to monitor the ongoing detoxification progress and assess organ health regularly, typically on a weekly basis, to track improvements. Additionally, tests like the Heart Rate Variability test show measurable progress upon retesting. For clients who choose to do additional bloodwork, improvements in targeted areas can be observed every 90 days, as the blood naturally regenerates during this period.

The vast majority of our therapeutic supplements are safe and have no side effects or contraindications. For the few that may have contraindications (typically certain herbs), our practitioners are highly trained and knowledgeable about them. The best approach is to treat natural medicine with the same respect as conventional care: seek guidance from knowledgeable, qualified practitioners, always inform your healthcare provider about any supplements or therapies, and purchase only from reputable sources. Natural remedies can be highly effective and supportive, but safety comes from personalized, professional guidance—not from the word “natural” alone.

Recovery time varies based on the duration and severity of illness, as well as how closely clients follow the recommendations. Typically, it can take between 4 months to a year or more to restore health. After the consultation, the Report of Findings will provide a specific recommendation for the estimated duration needed for each individual.

Stressors put “stress” on the body’s organs and its ability to function. Stressors can be any number of things including: Scars, Food Sensitivities, Digestive Disturbances Sugar Imbalances, Immune Challenges (Bacteria, Virus, Mold, Parasites, Fungus, Yeast. Candida, etc.), Adrenal Insufficiencies, Chemical and Heavy Metal Challenges, Electro Magnetic Fields (EMFs), Post Pandemic Factors. Once identified through Nutrition Response Testing, it is important to address whatever the body presents.

These are concentrated whole food in tablets or capsules prepared using a process that preserves all of the active enzymes and vital components that make it work as Nature intended. These real food supplements have been designed to match the needs of the body. These are nutrients you are not getting, or not assimilating, in your current diet. Designed Clinical Nutrition is NOT ‘over-the-counter’ vitamins. Over-the-counter vitamins are pharmaceutically engineered chemical fractions of vitamin structures reproduced in a laboratory. They are not derived from whole foods and often make you even more deficient and nutritionally out-of-balance. Even though labs/blood work can tell you if something is abnormal or malfunctioning in the body, it can’t tell you WHY. The type of testing we do gives us the WHAT and the WHY so that we can address the actual root of the problem and why it’s happening. Typically, blood work needs to show a 60% degradation in function before abnormalities are detected. Nutrition Response Testing can identify dysfunction with just a 5% degradation. This means that symptoms can appear before traditional lab results show any abnormalities, as people often experience symptoms earlier in the disease progression before it becomes evident in standard lab tests.” Most of the people we have helped over the years were helped by what we were able to find that did not show up in their labs!

We don’t directly treat diseases or symptoms. Instead, we focus on identifying the root cause and providing the body with the support it needs to heal naturally. When the body gets what it needs and stressors are removed, it is better equipped to heal itself.

Although blood work can show your hormone levels, it doesn’t explain why they’re out of balance or how to restore that balance. Many of our clients have hormone imbalances that don’t show up in blood tests. Our testing identifies the root causes of your hormone imbalance, prioritizes which stressors need to be removed, and determines which organs need support. We address each layer systematically, helping your body regain its natural hormone balance.

While Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can alleviate many symptoms, it has side effects and doesn’t address the underlying cause of your hormone imbalance. As your body changes, you’ll always be chasing that balance. We believe in helping your body produce the hormones it needs naturally, rather than providing external hormones and disrupting its natural production. This approach supports long-term balance and health
