Asian Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey or chicken
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • salt to taste
  • 1 8oz can water chestnuts, drained and diced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 5 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame seed oil
  • 1 head lettuce of choice

Directions:

  • Whisk together coconut aminos, almond butter, apple cider vinegar, sesame seed oil and salt.
  • Heat avocado oil in pan on medium-high heat. Add ground chicken or turkey and cook until browned.
  • Add onion, garlic, and ginger and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Pour sauce mixture into pan and mix until well-combined.
  • Add the water chestnuts and green onions. Stir everything together.
  • Place a large spoonful of mixture onto individual lettuce leaves and enjoy.
